Showing Kimberly Around

Some pictures from DC with Kimberly. McKenna loves her so much!!

Kimberly's DC Visit

Cristina's best friend from Washington, Kimberly, came and stayed with us this Labor day weekend. She moved to North Carolina three weeks ago for a teaching job so we are now STATE BUDDIES!! She lives only 4 hours away. It was nice to have a friend here with us. We took her to IKea Saturday (her first time) and to DC Sunday. It was in the 90s so super warm. We had tons of fun and saw so much stuff!!

King's Dominion

McKenna watching mama on the big coasters, daddy won't go on them!

Saturday we headed out to King's Dominion!! We went with some friends this time so mama could ride the coasters!! We were there for a total of 7 hours!! We did so much!! And were able to ride the carousal. McKenna got a light up "flutterfly". She loves it, but mama and daddy were going to have a seizure, haha.

Headbands

My little Bohemian baby!!

Playing

McKenna loves playing with Parker's crate, and Parker loves sitting in it while she plays. Now she closes the door on him!

Tom-Boy McKenna

McKenna shooting some hoops, she is really good at it too. But now cheats, she puts the ball in (and the music starts) and then pulls it out! Too smart for those baby toys!!

Wipes Everywhere

McKenna loves opening her wipes and helping herself. I guess she was really dirty this day, she pulled them all out! But how can you get mad at this face??

Baby Gate Land

Yup, we live in baby-gate-land!! They are everywhere!

Nightly Storyime

McKenna gets a story everynight before bedtime. This is a great routine for her. We go to the library every week and checkout books!!

Snack time

Mama made homemade peach Popsicles!! They were yummy!!

American Idol

Yes, trained killers, aka Marines, singing American Idol on XBox 360. This is what Marines do for fun!!

Dinner at Doc's

Saturday evening we went to our friend's house for dinner, beer chicken. It was good and McKenna was able to play with her friends!! Jimmy is 18 months, Haylie is 11 months, Jacob is 5, and Rylie is 2 and a half. She is the youngest but loves playing with them all. Jimmy is her favorite. He even climbed up on the table and threw her down some brownie crumbs. We looked over to find McKenna with crumbs all over her face. That little sneak!!

Walks

Parker wanted to go out for a walk, so McKenna took him!

New push-cart

Here is McKenna with her new little push-cart, walker thingy. She loves it and walks around the house with it. Still sometimes walking on those little tippie-toes, but getting better. Attached is her balloon she picked out at the dollar store, it says happy birthday, it was the only one they had blown up. But she loves it!

Bubble Face

BUBBLES!!! It is so cute, she tries eating them! Her is our little girl with her first goat-T!!

Not so happy

She loves to stand up in her crib and scream "mamama." I tried taking this picture when she was sleeping, she was standing up asleep, but Parker licked her hand and woke her back up. But this is what she does at nap time. She is trying to tell us I think that she is a big girl now and they don't need naps, but haha, she always falls asleep!!

Airplane Ride

McKenna is so big, riding home on the airplane. This was before we took off, and then were delayed for an hour and a half! Yucky. But we finally made it back home to Virginia, where daddy met us. We were both so happy to see him. Five weeks was a very long vacation.

Saying Bye

Saying bye to all our friends, that was very hard. See you all at Christmas!!! We had a blast on our Everett Trip. Thanks to everyone for making our trip a success! And for meeting our daughter.
