Here we Come!~

McKenna and I are all packed and headed out early Tuesday morning!! Our flight leaves DC at 6:30am and we will be landing in Seattle at 11:50am!! Yay, a LONG day on a plane but totally worth it!! See you all soon!!

Barney

Watching her Barney DVD in the morning!

Swiffering

McKenna is just like mama (and grammy). She loves to clean! She follows me everywhere and loves to help out. She is not too sure about all these babygates in the house. But it is so cute she pulls herself up and stands there, but then cries because she is not sure what to do and how to get down!! So she cries for mama to come get her.

In the Sand

We took McKenna to the park and she was able to play in the sand for the first time. And she didn't even try to eat it! We were surprised. She grabbed it with her hands and dropped it on her feet. It was adorable. She was also able to ride little jeepy, Uncle Isaac would be so proud!!

VIDEO: Crawling!!

Here is our baby, well a big girl now. She is crawling everywhere! Poor Parker, McKenna keeps chasing him. She is getting so good at crawling. So quick for only crawling for three days now!!

Big Girl

McKenna Dene'e is growing and learning so fast! Thursday she started standing on her oen. Then McKenna got her first tooth Saturday!! Started crawling Sunday!! A busy weekend for her!!

Father's Day!!

Trav's First Father's Day. He got breakfast, then played two hockey games (deck hockey) then we all headed out to Olive Garden (Trav's giftcard from mom and dad). All and all it was a great family day!!
He got a Starbucks card, Mc painted him a flower pot (she is very artsy). And we made daddy a Silvertips frame and put his player cards in it for his office!

King's Dominion

We headed out to King's Dominion Saturday, for the second time since we have season passes. It was hot there, high 90s and very humid. We were all dripping sweat. I convinced Trav to go on the Stunt car ride, I told him it was an easy ride. Well lets say I stretched the truth a litt. It was fast and made sharp turns, but not that bad. He swore the entire time while I watched his face and laughed. Thats say he was a little upset, but we both had fun. He also went on the log ride with me too. He said he was done with rides for the entire year now.
Our friend Cantu and his girlfriend came with this time, so I could go on some of the big coaster. We went on the biggest ride there!! Upside down like 7 times and super fast!!

She loves this ride!! And she was able to go on the Scooby Do ride with us too!

Big Girl

McKenna can feed herself, and yes it is messy!! Here she was doing artwork, with baby food. She didn't get the concept that she could lick her hands but yes she did enjoy herself during art time!

VIDEO: Drumming

Here is McKenna drumming on a metal mixing bowl! Yes she is talented!

104 Degrees!

So this week it has been HOT!!! And when I say hot, all you Washingtonians think, "oh like 80s hot." NO people, Virginia hot is very hot. It has been high 90s everyday, and with all the humidity, it means above one hundred degrees. So very hot and humid. We are a family who likes to be outside so staying in gets hard to do, especially with McKenna and mama. We love the sun!! So since it was so hot and sunny today, mama made a sun tent so McKenna could play outside but still stay "somewhat" cool. And keep the sun off her white baby skin. She had fun!!

Walk to the Park

I thought it would be fun to take Parker and McKenna down to the park yesterday, way too hot for that!! I was sweating on the way down the hill so I knew I was in trouble since I had to walk back up the hill. We were out there for about 45 minutes, and it was hot, still in the 90s. Parker was panting hard core. McKenna seemed fine, she loves water so we take her sippy cup everywhere. We took a break from swinging and sat in the shade and played in the grass. Then it was back home, a hike for mama, and with the added weight of Parker in the stroller, it was a workout!

Drying off

McKenna drying off after she got out of her little pool. She goes in it once, sometimes twice, a day!!

Out in the Front Yard

Spending some family time out in the front yard on Sunday evening. Parker has a lead out there so he is able to run around in the grass, well mostly lay in the grass since it is so hot. It was 6:00 and still in the 90s when we were sitting out here. McKenna loves to sit on the step like a big girl!!

At the Pool

Here we are at the base pool. We try and go there a few times a week, McKenna loves it there. She got a new floatie, she picked out the crab one. She loves it, she kicks her little (or shall i say size 4) feet and paddles across the pool, so cute to watch. Mc loves swimming, so much she now swims on the floor instead of learning how to crawl.

VIDEO: Frog Swimming

McKenna is great at swimming already, she has no fear about the water!! Which is great!! She kicks just like a little frog, and now she has started putting her face in the water and trying to drink it!! She is so cute here in her little swimsuit swimming. She will start swim lessons at Forest Park on June 25!!

Diaper-less

Here again diaperless. We put her in the kitchen so she could get some traction for crawling forward. She likes being naked!!

On STRIKE

McKenna has been on strike lately, not wanting to put on clean diapers, she hurries and crawls and rolls away and kicks us. So here she is one evening, she crawled away and got into her diaper basket and threw them everywhere. Oh how cute that little crack is!!

At the Pool

We have been taking McKenna to the pool here on base, she loves the water. She is a swimmer already!! They have a big pool and a little one for the small children. Today she will test out her floatie for the first time, hope she likes it!!

Warm Weather!~

It has been very hot this week, along with thunderstorms and tornado warnings. But we are having fun each day. Thanks Auntie Lynn and Auntie Patti for the polka-dot outfit!!
