We are having a baby....

Baby Number Two is a..... GIRL!!

Yesterday we had our ultrasound and after ten minutes of trying to see what this baby was, she finally moved her hand and foot and let us see that she was a girl!! Another princess in this house, we are very happy!! Her name is Maylie Rae Marie. Maylie for Dana's maiden name (spelled different) Rae for her Godmother Maddi and her great-great-great grandpa's name and Marie for Jennie's middle name. So she will be spoiled with many names and many different important family members.

Doctor called us and let us know that baby Maylie had a shiny spot on her heart. Believe me when Trav and I heard the news and the word "heart" we were very upset and worried. Doctor reassured us that this is pretty common and happens in about 3-5% of healthy pregnancies and not to worry. But yes we are very worried. We did some research (with help from family) and discovered it is pretty common. Most times the spot goes away by the end of the third trimester or never causes problems. It is probably just a calcium buildup. It is not effecting Maylie's heart at all, her heart looks great and has all four chambers and necessary parts. So we are now waiting for a specialist to review the pictures and see what we need to do next, weather to go get a more in depth ultrasound or more testing or that the spot was a fluke. A small percent of women (usually older women) can have a child with a genetic problem, that is the doctor's main concern when they see the shiny spot. But we had all of our genetic testing done and all the tests came back negative so that is very reassuring for us and our doctor. So thats where we are now, just waiting but trying to remebmer that Maylie is fine and growing well. Already a pound!!

Please keep your thoughts and prayers with our daughter Maylie Rae Marie. Thank you!!

14 Months Old Now

McKenna keeps us really busy! Nonstop action with her. She can now put herself in her toy box, but not get herself out. She loves kicking balls or hitting them with her hockey stick! She loves striking a pose and modeling for the camera!

Virginia's 1st Snowfall!

Enjoying our first snow of the year here in Virginia. We didn't have a sled for McKenna, so our neighbors Kelly and Brad pulled Mc around on her pool crabby toy!

Friday Play Time

McKenna loves having friends here for daycare!

19 Weeks Pregnant

Here I am trying to show off my baby bump. I am much smaller with this baby than with McKenna, well so far!! I am now 19 and a half weeks pregnant, on the 29th we have our big ultrasound to find out the sex! Wish us luck!!

14 Months old now

Our baby is now officially 14 months old!! And look at her go!!

Starting to Learn about the potty

McKenna is starting to become interested in the potty so she got her own! Every night before jammies we let her run around naked, and for the past week or so, as soon as she gets naked she runs into the bathroom, squats and pees on our rug. So she at least knows what room to go in. So now wehn we start naked time, we read to her on her potty. Nothing yet, we will start off slow!!

Daycare Days

Fun and happy times at the Busy Bee Daycare!

Little Gavin

Gavin is 2 months old and is our full time care baby. He comes 3-4 days a week depending on how much his mother works. It is nice to experience a baby boy. Also to learn how to handle a newborn along with a busy bee, a hyper mommy-loving toddler!! We are all adjusting here. McKenna is doing pretty well, but sometimes are harder than others for her!! But this will be great practice for the upcoming birth of her sibling this June!!

Daycare Begins

Cristina recently began running a home childcare. She has Makenzie, who is exactly McKenna's age. We have her only on Fridays. They love playing with eachother and playing mommy to their dolls.

X-Mas at Home

The day we flew back to Virginia, we had more gifts to unwrap, and again McKenna got spoiled!
