Happy Halloween '07

Well today is Halloween!!! It started off rather eventful, I had contractions for about two hours this morning. Travis left me and had to go to color guard practice. Travis made us a wonderful dinner, BBQ chicken with pork and beans and green beans, it was different. But hey, I guess it was edible.

We dressed up the animals, Parker was a skeleton and Pumo was a pumpkin. Travis didn't want to be anything, but he did enjoy eating our Halloween candy!! I finally carved our little pumpkin, and Parker helped out by eating the insides and his very own mini pumpkin. He ate about half of it and then I had to take it away. Travis helped me paint my tummy, McKenna had to have a costume too!! So far, no trick or treaters here. We took Parker out for his walk and saw kids dressed up, but no one knows where we live. So I guess Travis gets to keep all his candy!!

Mama's Boy

Our two little boys are going to be in shock when the baby comes home. They believe the nursery is their play room and anything and everything is "theirs". Pumo discovered the bassinet and wouldn't stay out of it the other night. Parker is such a baby when it comes to the cold and wet weather we have had during the past week. Here I put a shirt on him to keep him dry from the rain, it says "mama's boy" on it.

Dress Blues

Here is Travis trying on his dress blues. He just brought them home today and wanted to make sure they fit. He still needs to add a few more things to them before the ball, like the white gloves and belt and of course the silly white hat. I have to say he looks very handsome in them!!

Natural History Museum

This place was amazing! It had a little bit of everything and reminded us of the movie, Night at the Museum! We loved the caveman and dinosaur exhibits. And the gems and diamonds!! We would defiantely go back.

Our Trip to DC

We had a blast yesterday in DC. It was my first trip to downtown. We saw so many things. And did so much walking. But I survived. It was a great day for sightseeing, a great breeze and about 80 degrees. We took our time and ended up at the Whitehouse. Travis did the map reading and it actually worked!! I always thought it would be bigger. We took a cab to the Holocaust Museum and that place was amazing. We slowly made our way through it and made our way back to the car. It was a very fun day! But we were tired.

Lazy Saturday

Yesterday we spent most of the day laying in the couch relaxing. Pumo didn't move off the couch for like five hours, maybe too much catnip. Parker loves laying on me. We love days when we can just relax, with Travis at home. Travis took two naps!! It was a fun day, a lazy Saturday.

Fall is here, well almost

The leaves are starting to change colors and slowly falling. I can't believe we are living in a state that is having a drought in the middle of October! Seattle would never let that happen. The average temperature this month has been about 82, way too warm for an October. But things will slowly change. I put up our Autumn decorations today and the boys loved playing in the fake leaves. Who knows what we will do this Halloween. Travis has the day off but has to be at work early the next morning, and it is getting more and more uncomfortable getting around.

Deck Hockey

Today Travis played some hockey, well deck hockey. The two games he played in already had goalies so he was able to play out. He did pretty good, but had a few things to say to the refs!! Boys will be boys, and he seems to always speak his mind. So neadless to say he had to spend some time in the penalty box. He had fun and got some exercise so I guess it was all worth it!

Zoo Fun

Sunday we went to the National Zoo in Washington DC. We had tons of fun, but it took us forever to find it. The zoo had lots of animals. Travis said it was Noah's Zoo because they only had two of each animal. I had fun, but was exhausted afterwards because the entire zoo was uphill. We enjoyed our day outside and our exercise! We will have to take McKenna there this coming Spring.

Creek Fun

We try and take Parker down to the Creek at least once a day. It is hilarious to watch him play in the water. He hates getting his feet wet! The creek is in our backyard at our apartment building.

34 Weeks

Wow! I can't believe I am getting so close. We are finally going to meet our baby soon and we are so happy about that. I am getting tired of carrying around this extra weight and trying to sleep is very hard. But the countdown is on.

Today I had my 34 week check-up. McKenna measured a centimeter big, but the doctor said no big deal. She is allowing me to schedule an ultrasound to check on the baby, mostly because Travis and I want to see her! She also said that the baby is slowly moving into position and that my contractions were normal. We go back in 2 weeks for a check-up.

Oh My

So today I started having contractions, they woke me up at about twelve thirty in the afternoon and kind of caught me off guard. I walked the dog and they kept coming. I ate some lunch and drank some water. Then I laid down on the couch. They continued for about two hours and finally stopped. It was a little scary being at home alone and not knowing what was going on or if the contractions were real or just practice ones. We have a doctor's appointment this Wednesday so we will see what is going on. We are going to ask for an ultrasound to see what McKenna is doing. Things are about to change! We, or shall I say, I am nervous but I know everything will be fine. Travis is very supportive!

Boys, Boys, Boys

We love our two boys, Pumo and Parker. They keep us very busy. We treat them as family, and we have realized they are too spoiled and are going to have a big shock when McKenna comes home. We have tuna day each week, and as soon as you say those words, the dog and cat come running. They love tuna day!! They also enjoy bath time, even if it is not their turn in the tub. Parker couldn't stay out of the tub, he had to play in the water with dad. Pumo now gets catnip once a day, and we have learned that we should just stay away from him when he is all "drugged" up. We are a very busy family, but wouldn't change it for the world.

Days Off

WE LOVE TO HAVE FUN AND BE CRAZY!! This is us having fun at Wal Drug, on our way over to Virginia this summer. Yesterday we went to Red Robin with our friends, The Lotts. We did some errands and went to Costco. Today we went to the Modern Day Marine Expo and saw tons of new military technology and vehicles. And got free stuff. Travis must have grabbed like fifty pens, I didn't know we needed so much. It was very warm today, so we laid around inside. Travis has to go back to work tomorrow, I am sad, I hate those days when i have to send him off in the morning.
