These past few days have been up in the 90s!! So we went out and bought McKenna a new pool!!

One Mile Fun Run
On Saturday McKenna was doing better so we thought she might have fun at the Kid's One mile fun run. So her and daddy signed up. She loved it. She got a shirt and a first place metal!
Fairfax Hospital
McKenna's 3rd and final hospital was all set up for children. they had wagons and cars for her to ride in, a play room filled with toys and movies and activities and an outdoor play space. This was really nice to have and kept all of us very busy!
Nana Ashby Visits
Nana Ashby had had this trip planned for several weeks, we were happy that she was here to help us with McKenna in the hospital. Her and I did the day shift while Trav did the nights up at the hospital. Thanks Nana, and McKenna really got a kick out of her dancing!!
Walking Around
McKenna was able to walk the hallways so we brought up her baby doll and her little stroller. This kept her busy for a little while, but she would get so out of breath and have problems breathing that we would have to go sit for a bit before we did another small walk. For a child who usually has so much energy it was heartbreaking to see her so sick.So Sick
Just looking back at these pictures brings tears to a mother's eyes, it was terrible to see our little girl so sick. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers! And the crib they had her in was like a cage! It made me cry everytime I had to lock her in there.
Therapy Dogs
Here is McKenna meeting Muffin, the therapy dog. She loved her and was so excited when she was able to play with her in her hospital room. McKenna really missed home and her animals so this was neat experience for her.

My friend kimberly came to stay with us for Easter weekend. Here we are dying Easter Eggs together!
Date Night
Our date night, well afternoon. Grammy and Grandpa watched McKenna while Travis and I went to play a game of putt-putt and have a nice relaxing lunch. Shall I say I beat Travis again in putt-putt and he should never play baseball, stick to hockey honey lol!
1st Time Bowling
McKenna must get it from her daddy, she loved bowling. She just sat there when it was someone else's turn and got excited when it was her turn. Her first game she bowled a 101!! And that even beat Daddy. But daddy warmed up and McKenna ran around during the other games. Oh well, good start for a toddler!1st hair style
Mama was finally brave enough and decided it was time for McKenna to get a real hair style, she will never leave a pretty clip in or a pony tail, so I took her to a really nice kids salon where they had CANDY and cartoons. She did great and now has a little bob haircut! We cut about 4 inches off the back.
